Downclocking my components (not really sure how though). So All that is left is checking my motherboard (but I can't find much on Google). I scanned both my SSD and Memory and it didn't find any errors. Crosair Link (Also tried when disabled) NVIDIA GeForce Experience (Also tried when disabled) The following programs are running in my tray: Also closed everything running in the background. I tried disabling Steam overlay, but it had no effect. This is a new system so no worries about AMD drivers. If you had previously installed AMD drivers (with AMD videocard of course), then you must completely reinstall clean OS, because AMD f* up something and NVidia after that works like it's corrupted, i tried to remove all files left by AMD, but this not helps, for me such behavior is very big pain in the ass. Motherboard/chipset issues are the worst to identify, i can't suggest something specific, better to google issues of same motherboard, if they exist and similar (unfotunately this is not rare). Set low frequencies (downclock) videocard and cpu, may be one of them is defective or your PSU can't handle amount of power required for them (low frequency greatly decrease wattage a lot). Sometime other driver types affect, but these two types the most problematic.Ĭheck ram for errors (in win7 it have special util, may be it exist in win8 too). Make sure that Steam overlay disabled in it's setting.ĭisable antivirus (better uninstall, some still run services on background), disable all kind of software you running, but not Steam and game (no Skype, no internet browsers, no tweakers and overlays, etc).Ĭhange (downgrade/upgrade) video drivers, sound drivers. I'll try to list as much as i can what you need to check (the position is equal to priority): This happen only because of serious issues with OS and hardware. The whole computer shuts down and instantly reboots But I can't let my computer crash any other way and it just aces every test I throw at it. Turning fans really high for better cooling.Īm I alone in this? It could be my rig? Because a game shouldn't crash the computer. Running in compatability mode for Windows 7. Setting sound to 44100 (studio quality). It happens with other ENBs and even performance options. I don't think I missed anything, but I could be wrong. I followed the instructions to the letter twice and even went trough the stability options. As soon as I added the ENB to any of the above scenario's the computer crashed. Followed the complete install guide from the RealVision ENB but didn't use the ENB). Opened the game modded with Mod Organizer (all the mods for RealVision plus some extra's all on 2k+ resolution. Opened the game normally with SKSE while using Mod Organizer (no ENB, EWIs ultra inis, SKSE ini and no mods). Opened the game normally (no ENB, original inis and no mods). How do I know it is the ENB? Tested my scenario like this: Also used multiple different drivers, temperatures stay at 50 degrees celcius and PSU readings don't do anything out of the ordinary. Other games I run at ultra without as much as a CTD (BF4, Witcher 2, Dishonerd, etc). Why do I think it is not my rig? Stress tested my (brand new) rig on CPU and GPU level (3DMark 11, Furmark, Heaven benchmark, etc), both at the same time, both at 100% for about an hour. I use the term crash and not CTD because the whole computer shuts down and instantly reboots. I usually only need a couple of tries to trigger the crash. The scenario I use to successfully recreate the crash are as followed: Pick a fight with everyone at the Windhelm docks. Again, chances are higher when under load. The crashes are random, but (almost) always occur when I open the map. But when ever I use an ENB my computer crashes when under load. I have a fresh install of Skyrim on Steam (legit) and I even did a re-install. Power Supply Unit: Seasonic Platinum 80 plus - 780w Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB DDR3 - 1866MHz (x2) Tried everything but it still isn't fixed. But I've been searching everywhere for a fix for a week. I don't know if this is the best place to post it.
